Brazilian butt lifts and butt implants are among some of my specialties in Toronto. And as you may know, only a few plastic surgeons perform these procedures in North America. It is while travelling and learning in Brazil that I discovered the power and significance of a nice, full, and sexy buttock area.
How are butts lifted surgically?
Butt lift has been used in many different and confusing
ways. A buttock can be ‘lifted’ surgically with:
- Fat grafting (as with the Brazilian butt lift)
- Buttock implants
- Removing excess of skin & fat and lifting and suspending the buttocks (the ‘true’ butt lift procedure, a sub-type of body lift), as often required after serious weight loss.
Auto-augmentation is often performed with the latter technique where some of the ‘to-be-discarded’ tissue is instead preserved and rotated to the appropriate region for volume and projection purposes.
Who is a good candidate for Brazilian butt lift?
Fat grafting alone to the buttock (Brazilian Butt Lift) is a great technique for
smaller buttock augmentations. It is a wonderful but delicate procedure that requires meticulous and gentle work from the surgeon.
How long does it take for Brazilian butt lift results to be visible?
S
ome of the transferred fat will not survive. It takes 3 months for the fat to be stable and for the patient to achieve her/his final surgical results. Volume will fluctuate with weight loss and gain.
Who is a good candidate for a butt lift with implants?
Since I work with many patients after their weight loss, it is very common to combine a true butt lift with buttock implants. I answer some other common butt
ock augmentation questions in this related blog post.
It is also very common to combine an implant with fat grafting when a patient wants to achieve more fullness and more curves. You can see some of my patients’ excellent results by viewing these before-and-after photos.
If you want a fuller, more elevated butt, I’m happy to answer your questions during your consultation. You can request a consultation with this online contact form or by calling my office (416) 929-9800.
