Our Laser & Light Techniques
Our laser and light techniques cause slight inflammation to the dermis lying beneath skin imperfections. This triggers the formation of new collagen, new hyaluronic acid and new elastin, hich consequently tightens and rejuvenates the overlying skin. Collagen and hyaluronic acid also help maintain the skin’s hydration — a must for younger, healthier-looking skin. We offer blue light treatments and MicroLaser™ Peel, in addition to the laser techniques outlined below:
Sciton® Erbium Laser System
We use the Erbium laser system for a range of treatments, including skin resurfacing and skin tightening. We’re able to remove thinner layers of skin with more precision than the CO2 fractional laser. Erbium lasers are often a better choice for patients with dark skin because there is less risk of permanent changes to skin pigmentation. With a shorter healing time, these treatments are also better for patients with generally healthy skin who wish to treat only minimal fine lines and wrinkles.
Halo™ Hybrid Fractional Laser
Halo is a hybrid fractional laser that uses 2 beams in 1 for significantly improved results without much downtime. Halo uses ablative and non-ablative power to deeply penetrate the skin to reduce even deep skin damage and potentially slow down the aging process. In addition to treating the skin’s surface, Halo’s dual wavelength laser treats the deeper dermis by stimulating collagen development. Halo is very effective at treating some of the most common skin concerns, including discoloration, uneven tone or texture, fine lines, and scars.
Forever Young BBL™
This groundbreaking treatment is similar to IPL and can be completely customized to meet the needs of each patient’s unique skin, potentially disrupting the aging process. Using broadband light (BBL), Forever Young helps treat acne, freckles, age spots, red vascular lesions, and deeper signs of aging. It’s also safe and effective on people with darker complexions. BBL combines powerful light energy with a sophisticated cooling mechanism to keep you comfortable throughout your procedure.
ProFractional™ Laser Treatment
Our ProFractional laser rejuvenates the skin by creating tiny holes that penetrate into the underlying dermis. With the ProFractional laser, Dr. DuPéré and his medical estheticians can target various depths with precision and adjust the space between the narrow channels created by the laser. The laser’s extreme precision makes it an excellent choice for responding to a range of skin issues, including acne scarring and signs of aging. We can correct deep-seated skin conditions with minimal discomfort and reduced healing time.
Laser Hair Removal
We also use the versatile Elite Plus for popular laser hair removal treatments in Toronto. Because the Elite laser is equipped with 2 wavelength options in a single system, our technician can switch between them during the same procedure, depending on the hair type. The laser targets the hair follicle and destroys it, significantly reducing hair growth. Because hair grows in cycles, multiple treatments are recommended to target follicles during the growth phase.
Laser Vein Treatment
The advanced laser we use for vascular treatments is the Cynosure® Elite™ Plus, which allows our experienced laser technician to quickly treat vascular lesions without damaging the surrounding skin. The laser energy absorbed by the targeted lesion destroys the blood vessel, and it gradually disappears. The adjustable wavelengths of the Elite Plus laser allows the technician to customize your treatment. We also offer [link pid=”137″]sclerotherapy[/link] to correct unsightly spider veins.
Combined Treatments
These laser and light treatments can be combined with other procedures such as [link pid=”120″]wrinkle-reducing injections[/link] and [link pid=”116″]dermal fillers[/link] for enhanced results.
