Case Details
This patient is a 61-year old professional male, who is a sport-enthusiast and loves to play volleyball. He came in a consultation at Visage Clinic in Toronto to see Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon, Dr Marc DuPéré.
He previously had the smart lipo procedure to his love handles with another plastic surgeon and was very unhappy with the lack of expected results and the inadequate showing of his abdominal muscles. At his consultation with Toronto cosmetic surgeon Dr. Marc DuPéré, Dr. DuPéré suggested liposuction to the chest side rolls, the love handles, the back rolls, and the abdominal area to remove the excess fat that is known for both men and women as the “menopausal and andropausal middle”, respectively. Then to further enhance the appearance of his abdominal muscles (so-called 8-pack), Toronto plastic surgeon Dr. Marc DuPéré used a very specialized and meticulous technique called abdominal etching. Dr. DuPéré is by far the most experienced in abdominal etching and body implants in Toronto and Canada.
Abdominal etching is a body-sculpting technique, using special cannulas and a very detailed and meticulous sculpting, where Dr. Marc DuPéré etches over the interdigitations and borders of the rectus abdomen and sub-pectoralis major muscles, enhancing and creating a 6 or 8-pack look. Other muscles can also be etched.
The patient decided to proceed with the liposuction and the abdominal etching enhancement.
The after pictures are six months post. The patient was extremely pleased with his slimmer physique and six pack abs!
