Your Guide to Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty at Our Med Spa

Toronto rhinoplasty, non-surgical rhinoplasty, Toronto nose job, non-surgical nose job, Toronto plastic surgery

One of the newest and most exciting trends in plastic surgery is non-surgical rhinoplasty, a technique we proudly offer at our medical spa in Toronto.  Initially popular with our Asian patients, it is now quite a popular demand from all ethnicities: Caucasian, Middle-Eastern, Afro-American, Latinos, etc.

So this is great news for those who want a ‘nose job’ but are not interested in surgery… or not interested in a surgical rhinoplasty right now!

As a Royal College-certified plastic surgeon based in Toronto, I have been performing the non-surgical rhinoplasty technique since 2006 and have taught doctors all across Canada in BOTOX COSMETIC®/Dysport® and dermal filler techniques.

How Does a Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty Work?

The non-surgical rhinoplasty is performed using our great fillers and volumizers such JUVÉDERM® Ultra XC, VOLBELLA®, and Restylane.  Nowadays, most people know that the JUVÉDERM, VOLBELLA, VOLUMA®, and Restylane fillers are naturally-occurring sugar molecules found everywhere in the body. JUVÉDERM and Restylane, the oldest and best-known products on the Canadian market, have extensive medical data proving both their efficacy and their high safety track records.

Different techniques have now evolved for the non-surgical rhinoplasty with fillers; using needles and the latest using blunt cannulas, threading, and scaffolding (Misko techniques). The goal with those techniques of non-surgical rhinoplasty is to achieve the following:

  • Augmentation of nasal tip and the nasal bridge
  • Creation of gentle curves into the brow area
  • Lowering of the nostrils and columella
  • Augmentation of the mid-face
  • Narrowing of the nostrils

The most important thing when considering non-surgical rhinoplasty with fillers is to seek an experienced plastic surgeon-injector – and artist – as there are rare yet possible risks to soft tissue when performed by unfamiliar technicians. Knowledge of nasal anatomy and blood vessel architecture is extremely crucial; therefore, a qualified and experienced plastic surgeon is of utmost importance.

Why Choose a Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty?

As with any procedure, the non-surgical rhinoplasty has limits in its lifting and shape-changing ability and is not as powerful a technique as the surgical rhinoplasty. However, the non-surgical rhinoplasty is a simple in-office procedure with no downtime. The recovery is usually quite simple and easy; mild swelling for a few days and very rarely small bruising.  JUVÉDERM, VOLBELLA, and Restylane will last between 9 and 15 months on average in the nose.

How Much Does Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty Cost?

The cost for a non-surgical rhinoplasty varies between $1,000 and $2,500 on average.

It is also very common to use the same JUVÉDERM and Restylane fillers for lip and cheek enhancement, and for a gentle chin augmentation in males or for a more oval and triangular face in our female patients.

Broke my nose a few years back. Eventually getting it corrected, however for the time being I would like to try nasal fillers. I am wondering the price of this procedure?
    Thank you so much!

    • Dr Marc DuPéré says:

      Hi Christine,
Botox and Dermal Fillers are my most common non-surgical procedures. I also commonly teach other doctors the advanced techniques and I am invited every year for the ‘expert injector only’ F.A.C.E. meeting in USA and Canada. I use a combination of both needles and cannulas for the nose and I am familiar with the Misko technique; augmentation of tip via injections down to nasal spine and maxilla, augmentation of nasal base with deep injections on maxilla, narrowing of alar base, augmentation of nasal dorsum and creation of gentle curves upper nose into eyebrows.
Non-surgical rhinoplasty uses fillers to augment and/or contour the nose.
I have performed non-surgical rhinoplasty now for several years. You will likely be happy to know that I perform all injections myself for a customized and optimized treatment. I perform more than just filling up lines; I believe in 3-D volume restoration, soft tissue lifting, feminization and triangulation of the ladies’s faces and rejuvenation.
You may want to read my blog on Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty:
I commonly perform the botox/fillers on the same day as the consultation. Ask us about our anti-bruising recommendations.
I am glad to get your request on non-surgical rhinoplasty. I use restylane and the newest Emervel Classic and Juvederm fillers on the market: Volbella and Volift! Volbella has been in Europe for 1-2 years and has entered the Canadian market a year ago; it has the V-cross technology (same as Juvederm Voluma) and therefore, lasts longer than regular Juvederm ultra or Restylane.
COST: Costs vary depending on the amount of filler required but on average, most patients only require ONE vial so cost would be on average 850$+ HST for the Vycross fillers (last longer) or 700$ + HST (on average) for the regular fillers (eg. restylane/perlane).
I often use the cannula technique for the nose, as you read in my blog –
In the event you would be interested also in Botox: it is 13$ per unit and again, I myself would perform your customized treatment. Most women require 25-30 units between the eyebrows for the frown lines (men 30-50 units), 15-18 units per side for the ‘crow’s feet’ (men 15-24 units) and 8-15 units for the forehead creases (men 15-24). Patients may choose to treat one area only, or any of the above combined.
We would love to have the opportunity to meet you for a consultation. We will be happy to go over your options once we meet.
We have an office in Downtown Toronto. Maps are found at:
Toronto: 179 John St. suite 209, Toronto (just north of MuchMusic and South of AGO)
Kailyn, Erin, Danielle or Willians, my assistants, will be happy to find a time and day convenient for your visit. They can be reached at 416.929.9800.
      Office is open MON-FRI, 8-5pm.
Hope this helps! and we look forward to meeting you!
      Best regards,

  • Lena B says:

    Hi there,
I’m glad to hear that there is a non-surgical procedure available for minor nose augmentations. My question is, is there a downside for someone who wears glasses? Does the weight or pressure of glasses on the nose effect how long it will last on average? And which location is Dr. Marc DuPéré located?
    Thank you

    • Dr. Marc DuPéré says:

      Hi Lena,
I am in my downtown office – 133 Hazelton Yorkville Mon, Wed and Friday.
As for glasses, it is not a problem but best not to have pressure over the augmented area for 24 hrs, after which, there will be no issues.
We look forward to meeting you. Call us: 416-929-9800 (for either office) for an appointment.
      Dr. DuPere

  • Samantha Irwin says:

I am interested in a non surgical nose job, as well as lip fillers. I see above you have mentioned that the non surgical rhinoplasty requires one vial of the Vycross fillers. Would the same vial be sufficient for lip fillers as well, or would another vial have to be purchased for the separate procedure?
    Thank you in advance!

    • Dr. Marc DuPéré says:

Good morning Samantha, most of the time, I require one vial for the nose and one vial for the lips. But everyone is different and it would depend on your nose and the issue to be corrected and whatever the left-over is enough for your liking in the lips. Dr. D.
