Dr. DuPéré’s Brow Lift Techniques
Brow lift surgery is most often done using general anesthesia. Dr. DuPéré uses the traditional brow lift technique for patients with pronounced forehead aging. This approach is common in patients with a low hairline and involves making what’s known as a coronal incision just behind the hairline that is easily camouflaged in the hair. For women with a high forehead and for most men, raising the hairline is not favourable, and therefore a well-executed hairline incision is performed. This is also a favourite technique when a scalp advancement is considered along with reduction of forehead bossing.
He performs a temporal lift for patients with less advanced aging in this area and for those where the main issue is sagging of the tail of the eyebrows. Instead of making a single long incision, Dr. DuPéré makes one smaller temporal incision on each side of the forehead within the hairline and pulls the outer part of the eyebrows out and up for a younger-looking arched eyebrow.
