PRP/Vampire Lift

Platelet-rich plasma, or PRP, is teeming with platelets and growth factor proteins. The "Vampire Lift" procedure uses material derived from your own body to heal and rejuvenate your skin. Dr. Marc DuPéré offers this procedure as a completely natural, non-surgical face lift for Toronto men and women. PRP injections reduce the signs of aging by rejuvenating the facial skin and underlying tissues.

Slow the visible aging process with a Vampire Lift performed by a qualified plastic surgeon. Request a consultation with Dr. DuPéré, or call our office at (416) 929-9800.

How Can a Vampire Lift Help?

As the face naturally ages, deep wrinkles and hollows form around the eyes, nose, mouth, and lips. Cheeks lose volume and descend, the jawline becomes saggy and jowly, and the skin loses its elasticity. Ultimately, the skin appears pigmented with large pores. This minimally invasive procedure restores a more youthful appearance to the face by:

Dr. DuPéré's Vampire Lift Techniques

Dr. DuPéré first harvests a few milliliters of your blood using a technique similar to when you have blood work done. He mixes the blood with a special separator, puts the blood in a centrifuge, and discards the red and white blood cells. He saves the "liquid gold" — golden plasma that contains platelets and other proteins — and injects it into the areas to be treated. The plasma stimulates local stem cell production and the synthesis of new collagen and elastin. The procedure takes about 30 minutes.

Over a period of 3 to 6 weeks, the stem cell response results in the synthesis of new collagen and blood vessels. Improvements in skin hydration, colour and tone occur as a result.

Cosmetic hyaluronic acid fillers complement PRP treatments in achieving immediate rejuvenation. The fillers provide a matrix for new collagen production, maximizing and prolonging the benefits of PRP treatment.

PRP is an effective complement to any advanced skincare treatment, including laser resurfacing, facial surgery, and dermal fillers.

Recovering from a Vampire Lift

Patients may experience swelling and bruising for 3 to 7 days. Because PRP is derived from your own blood, it poses no risk of allergic reaction or disease transmission.

The effects of cosmetic PRP treatment can last from 1 to 2 years, depending on the individual.
