Sclerotherapy was developed in the 1920s for the treatment of spider veins (small purple blood vessels). While most commonly found on the thigh or lower leg, these unsightly veins can form virtually anywhere on the body. Occasionally, they will appear on the face. Visage Clinic offers sclerotherapy (vein treatment) for our Toronto patients who want to rid themselves of spider veins and the discomfort often associated with them.
Sclerotherapy is a straightforward, effective remedy for spider veins. If you are considering vein removal in Toronto at Visage Clinic, request a consultation online with Dr. Marc DuPéré, or call our office at (416) 929-9800.
Spider veins are hereditary, but they can also result from factors such as:
Sclerotherapy eradicates these veins, improving your appearance and increasing your comfort level.
We inject a sclerosing solution into your spider veins with a tiny needle. The solution causes the vein to turn white (blanch) and then gradually disappear. A typical vein removal session at our Toronto facility lasts between 30 minutes and an hour.
The first treatment usually does not achieve complete correction of spider veins. In most cases, only about 50 to 70 percent of the treated vessels will be permanently gone. Optimal results generally require 3 to 4 treatments.
With world-class plastic surgery training, refined aesthetic sensibilities, and meticulous attention to detail, Dr. DuPéré is an excellent choice for your surgical and non-surgical cosmetic needs.Read On
