Depending on the extent of aging in the patient's hands, Dr. DuPéré may employ several rejuvenation techniques. Hand rejuvenation can be obtained using a combination of techniques such as: hydroquinone and vitamin A and C topical creams, IPL/BBL light therapy, laser resurfacing, filler injection and fat grafting. Temporary fillers such as Restylane, Juvederm and Radiesse are commonly used. Those techniques are done under local anesthesia.
In cases where fat grafting, is the preferred technique, in which fat is harvested using liposuction from other areas of the body and re-injected into the hands, the procedure is performed using local anesthesia with sedation.
