diVa is for internal vaginal treatment whereas diVaTyte™ is for rejuvenation of the external genitalia, sometimes called vulvar therapy. Both diVa and diVaTyte are available in my Toronto office.
diVaTyte is a “sister” technology and will commonly be performed at the same time as diVa. diVaTyte will treat the external components of the female genitalia, including the labia minora, labia majora, and the peri-vulvar region.
Pregnancy and motherhood have tremendous rewards; however, vaginal childbirth excessively stretches the muscles and skin of the vagina. The body’s natural healing process repairs much of the damage, but tissue may not return to its previous state, especially after multiple pregnancies. Eventually, many women feel their labial skin has lost some of its youthfulness.
Vulvar skin changes affect women of all ages. As women naturally age, complaints of skin quality changes are in all areas of the body, not just in faces and necks. A recent survey revealed that the appearance of sagging and loose skin is amongst the highest complaints for women, typically affecting their relationships and positive feelings of well-being.
diVaTyte is a non-ablative approach improving the appearance of vulvar skin, is comfortable, and has no downtime. diVaTyte is based on SkinTyte, the same non-ablative technology typically used on the face, neck, and abdomen. diVaTyte utilizes powerful comfortable contact cooling to protect the top layer of skin while permitting safe infrared energy to heat deeper layers of tissue where collagen and elastin reside. By raising the tissue temperature, the body naturally initiates a repair and remodeling response, which, over time, leads to the appearance of improved texture and tone. It takes approximately 10 additional minutes for this treatment when combined to diVa. diVaTyte uses selected wavelengths of light penetrating deep into tissue. Specially designed sapphire quartz delivers therapeutic light through the broadband light (BBL) handpiece by gently massaging the exterior vaginal skin heating the dermal layer. End results include a more pleasing appearance and a feeling of increased texture and tone.
Combining diVa laser vaginal therapy with diVaTyte will optimize both internal and external vaginal tissues and provide a total women’s health solution from one device. This combination of treatments can help women take charge of their bodies and feel sensual, confident, and physically pleasing in all areas.
diVaTyte is very commonly combined with:
2. Hormonal replacement pellets
3. “O-Shot”: Platelet-rich plasma or PRP
4. “G-Shot”: Hyaluronic acid
5. Labiaplasty and vaginoplasty procedures
