Moles cyst and lipomas
Cysts are benign sacs filled with debris. The entire shell must be removed so that the cyst does not recur. Your plastic surgeon is the best professional to ensure the entire lesion is excised.
Moles – or nevi (singular: one nevus) are benign skin darker lesion that are most of the time symmetrical and uniform in colour. They are often excised – or removed – for cosmetic reasons (often considered unsightly). Careful placement of the scar will normally result in a faint and barely visible line. The surgeon will usually try whenever possible to place the incision within a natural facial line for a better camouflage. One should seek medical attention if the nevus is growing fast, if it is larger than 6mm in diameter, if it has irregular contour, if it has various shades of brown and black, if it bleeds and if non-symmetrical appearance.
Lipomas are soft superficial mass of benign fatty tissue that can easily be excised, usually for cosmetic purposes, under local anesthesia.
