Buttock Implants
This procedure uses very soft but solid silicone implants – buttock-shape - to correct the underdeveloped buttock and the lack of projection. The implants are placed under the fascia of the gluteal (buttock) muscles. The fascia is the tight envelop overlying a muscle which will prevent migration of the implant. The implantation is performed through an incision in the midline (within the inter-gluteal cleft) via which the implants are inserted in their respective sub-fascial pockets. The implants will provide a greater projection and in most cases, will also ‘lift’ the buttocks which tend to sag slightly over time. In cases of significant weight loss, buttock implantation might have to be combined with a traditional buttock lift. The end-result is a natural and sexier buttock.
